Who we are

Our mission is to help students in Latah County, Idaho and around the world receive a Classical Christian education. We achieve our mission by creating a personalized learning plan for each student, where we provide students with academic instruction in accord with the desires of their parents. Since God has given parents the primary responsibility and privilege of educating their children, we exist to support parents in this important religious and intellectual work. In accordance with the classical educational thinking of Western Civilization, from Plato down to Charlotte Mason, LCCCM views holistic and individualized education as necessary for the formation of healthy and flourishing Christian citizens and persons. Parents and students must be confessing Christians (holding to the Apostle’s Creed or an evangelical/fundamentalist Christian faith).

The Educational Process

Our mission of personalized education requires a high degree of customization and flexibility of implementation. We work with parents to create a Personalized Learning Plan for each student that fits his age, personality, and goals. Instead of having a brick-and-mortar facility, we allow families to work at home, much like traditional homeschooling families and those that use online virtual schools. Learning plans can include any combination of new or existing in-person courses (like White Horse Hall or Taliesin), online courses (like Veritas or Logos Online), and self-paced paper or virtual curricula (like Beast Academy or IXL math). We can accommodate both highly structured curricula and highly unstructured ones. We want your child to be taught in the way you want him taught.

How does this work? Before the school year begins, the Microschool Director or Assistant Director meets with parents to develop the Personalized Learning Plan for each student. Every student will receive instruction in Math, Science, Social Studies, English Language Arts, Fine Arts, Physical Education, Religion, and optional elective subject areas that are commonly taught in Idaho public and private schools.

Each student will be assigned a Home Room Teacher who will meet with parents periodically as their child is going through his Personalized Learning Plan. The Home Room Teacher will help the student produce a Learning Portfolio that demonstrates how he has academically grown during the year.

The Financial Process

After being accepted for admission and completing the Personalized Learning Plan form, students enroll in the microschool and pay tuition just like they would at any other private school. The microschool then provides you with a Home Room Teacher and pays for all reasonable and necessary expenses to implement the Personalized Learning Plan, up to the amount specified on the tuition agreement. Each tuition plan will clearly indicate the total per-student cost and what portion of that cost is dedicated to the Personalized Learning Plan (curriculum, books, courses, subscriptions, materials, electronics, memberships, tutors, etc.). The remainder of your tuition goes toward paying home room teachers, microschool operations, business costs, and profit. You will receive a clear receipt for your full tuition payment (which you will need to keep and submit to the state of Idaho if you are using the Parental Choice Tax Credit).

PROJECTED 2026-2027 Academic Year Tuition Fees:

Full-time Student Tuition: $5,000.

Of this amount, $3,500 will be spent toward the Personalized Learning Plan.
